Предзаказы игры Cyberpunk 2077 побили рекорд. Но после выхода что-то пошло не так. Сначала сообщалось о припадках у обзорщиков из-за кат-сцены с резкими вспышками света. Затем выяснилось, что Cyberpunk 2077 игнорирует одновременную многопоточность и использует только физические ядра ЦП на ПК с процессорами AMD. Разработчики признали, что на тестирование ушло мало времени. CD Projekt Red также обвинили в намеренном сокрытии характеристик игры. Sony пообещала игрокам вернуть деньги. Теперь инвесторы CD Projekt Red собираются подать иск против руководства студии. Пока же разработчики рекомендуют игрокам для стабильной загрузки сохранений соблюдать ряд правил. Для игры выпустили первый патч.

Журналист New York Times обвинил Pornhub в распространении видео жестокого обращения с детьми и насилия. Mastercard и Visa запретили оплату своими картами на сайте на время проведения своих расследований. Pornhub удалил весь неподтверждённый контент и перешел на биткоины.

В Пуэрто-Рико обрушился 305-метровый телескоп Аресибо. В 1974 году он передал самый мощный радиосигнал для возможной связи с инопланетными цивилизациями.Одна из крупнейших в мире астрономических обсерваторий начала разрушаться еще в августе, и ее решили разобрать. Не успели.

Провал

14 декабря все сервисы Google отключились. Проблемы были с YouTube, Gmail и Google Docs. Сбой затрагивал пользователей по всему миру. На восстановление нормальной работы ушло несколько часов. Google пришлось объяснить, что проблема скрывалась в работе службы аутентификации и связана с переполнением хранилища.

Группу хакеров APT29 (Cozy Bear), возможно, из России, заподозрили в атаке на минфин США, АНБ и даже офис президента. Атака затронула также минэнергетики США и Национальное управление по ядерной безопасности. Злоумышленники взломали производителя ПО SolarWinds и внедрили вредоносное обновление в программу Orion. Оказалось,что учетные данные сервера обновлений ПО SolarWinds опубликовали на GitHub в 2019 году. Пароль был «solarwinds123».

Пользователи заметили критическую ошибку при обновлении Windows 10, которая выводит из строя ПК. При запуске утилиты ChkDsk для проверки накопителя на ошибки файловой системы возникает «синий экран смерти». Microsoft подтвердила наличие проблем и выпустила быстрое исправление.

Ожидаем

В Firefox 85 добавят функцию сетевого разделения для улучшения защиты от слежки за действиями пользователей. Это произойдет в январе 2021 года.

Китайский зонд «Чанъэ-5» успешно собрал реголит на поверхности Луны, а потом сбросил на Землю капсулу. Внутри нее оказалось около 5,4 кг образцов. Ученые приступили к исследованию полученного материала.

Cloudflare, Apple и Fastly заявили о разработке нового стандарта DNS, который отделяет IP-адреса от запросов. Oblivious DNS over HTTPS (ODoH) будет иметь открытый исходный код.

Учёные из обсерватории Бейфордбери нашли в пивной банке снимок с самой длинной экспозицией в истории фотографии. Его сделала сотрудница, которая в 2012 году заканчивала обучение в университете по специальности изобразительное искусство. На снимке видны 2953 дугообразных следа Солнца.

  1. Apple представила MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13 и Mac mini на собственных ARM-процессорах M1. Чип хорошо показал себя в тестах производительности. Правда, Mac на Apple Silicone M1 не могут работать с внешними GPU. Еще одна проблема возникла с нативным софтом и средами разработки. Ее уже пытаются решить энтузиасты. Да и в Apple не сидят сложа руки. Вопрос запуска Windows на M1 остается за Microsoft.
  2. Репозиторий youtube-dl вернулся на GitHub после удаления по требованию Ассоциации звукозаписывающих компаний Америки. А платформа учредила фонд поддержки разработчиков по спорам из-за DMCA.
  3. Huawei продаёт бренд бюджетных смартфонов Honor консорциуму из более чем 30 агентов и дилеров. Решение принято под давлением санкций. СМИ называли покупателями дистрибьютора мобильных телефонов Digital China и правительство родного города Huawei Шэньчжэня.

Провал

  1. Пользователи 13-дюймовых MacBook Pro 2013-2014 годов пожаловались, что после установки новой macOS Big Sur их устройства превращались в кирпич. Apple предложила несколько вариантов действий, но пока 100%-ного решения нет. Компания планирует пересмотреть способ проверки надежности приложений Mac при их запуске.
  2. Уязвимость в популярном Android-приложении GO SMS Pro раскрывает мультимедийные данные, которыми обмениваются пользователи. С сервера можно извлечь даже те файлы, которые предназначались для пользователей без установленного приложения.
  3. База данных сайта «РЖД Бонус» попала в открытый доступ. БД размером около 2.4 ГБ по какой-то причине была выложена администратором в корне сайта. Она содержит данные 1,3 млн пользователей, логины и хешированные пароли, адреса электронной почты, ID, даты регистрации и последнего входа в систему.

Ожидаем

  1. Правительство утвердило правила, которые касаются обязательной предустановки отечественного ПО на ввозимую электронику. Они вступят в силу с 1 января 2021 года. Уже известно, что на смартфоны и планшеты понадобится устанавливать 16 типов приложений. Их списка пока нет. Само вступление закона в силу еще могут отсрочить.
  2. В ходе миссии Crew-1 пилотируемый корабль Crew Dragon с экипажем успешно состыковался с МКС. Теперь НАСА и Роскосмос договариваются о том, чтобы российские космонавты летали к МКС на корабле от SpaceX. В РК же озаботились созданием аналога Starlink — спутниковой системы «Сфера» за 1,5 трлн рублей.
  3. В ЕС утвердили резолюцию, обязывающую операторов платформ, таких как WhatsApp, Signal и прочие, создавать ключи для мониторинга чатов и сообщений со сквозным шифрованием. Поводом послужила террористическая атака в Вене.

Итоги опроса

Редакция подвела итоги опроса, который мы устроили с «Лабораторией Касперского». Мало кто сомневался, что главной причиной утечки данных люди считают человеческий фактор. Не удивляет и пессимизм в отношении инструментов защиты. А вот всё остальное не столь очевидно.
